Raw coal production in northern China's Inner Mongolia stood at 1.10 billion tonnes during January-November, up 0.6% year on year, according to data from the region's statistics bureau.
Inner Mongolia produced 104.46 million tonnes of raw coal in November. And the raw coal output averaged at around 100 million tonnes every month this year, data showed.
Five of the 11 coal-producing leagues and cities in Inner Mongolia showed an increase in raw coal production while six registered decreases.
The raw coal output of Ordos rose 2.3% year on year and accounted for 67.2% of the region's total during the period. That of Hulunbeier, a main force to ensure coal supply to northeastern China, increased by 4.8% compared with the same period last year.
From January to November, the region generated 673.11 TWh of electricity, ranking first in the country, with a year-on-year growth of 14.3%.
Thermal power and wind power generation of the region both ranked first in the country and solar power generation ranked fourth.
Power generation increased by 18.6% year on year, 6.0 percentage points faster than the previous month, reaching the highest growth level in the past two years, data showed.
The renewable energy power generation in the region stood at 138.56 TWh over January-November, up 23.2% from the preceding year, which accounted for 20.6% of the total. The proportion stabilized above 20% for ten consecutive months.
Wind power output was 114.13 TWh in the first eleven months, accounting for 82.4% of the total renewable generation, up 24.8% from the year prior.
Coke output totaled 46.34 million tonnes in the same period in Inner Mongolia, marking an 8.7% year-on-year growth and ranking second in the country. The volume accounted for 10.3% of the nation's total, data showed.
During the same period, the region produced 5.06 million tonnes of liquefied natural gas (LNG), ranking first in the country, which took up 27.5% of the country's total, a year-on-year growth of 12.9%.
The above production figures cover enterprises with annual revenue above 20 million yuan ($2.80 million) from their main operations.
