Total electricity sales of State Grid Sichuan Electric Power Company exceeded 300 TWh in the year to November 11, hitting a new high in history, according to Sichuan Daily.
The company expected its whole-year electricity sales to increase by about 8.9% this year.
The annual electricity sales of State Grid Sichuan exceeded 100 TWh in 2010, 200 TWh in 2018, and 300 billion TWh this year, data showed.

The province is also boosting its outbound transmission of clean power. The±800 KV UHVDC transmission project from the upper stream of Jinsha River to Hubei province started construction in February this year, and is expected to further enhance power supply capacity of the southwestern and central China grids upon completion.
Sichuan's average annual growth of power consumption is forecast to reach 10% in 2024-2025. The province consumed 344.68 TWh of electricity in 2022, up 5.26% year on year, showed data from the National Bureau of Statistics.
