The majority of steel products prices in China experienced both declines and increases in late December (December 21-31), showed the latest data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
The average price of construction steel rebar (HRB 400, 20mm) at 25 major cities in China fell 5.8 yuan/t or 0.1% from ten days earlier to 3,950.3 yuan/t during this period.
Prices of wire (HPB 300, 6.5mm) averaged 4,163.5 yuan/t in the same period, down 10.4 yuan/t or 0.2% from ten days ago.
Prices of common medium plate (Q235, 20mm) stood at 4,084.2 yuan/t, 13.2 yuan/t or 0.3% higher than the preceding session.
Hot-rolled plate (Q235, 3mm) rose 20.0 yuan/t or 0.5% to 4,093.3 yuan/t.
Seamless steel tube dropped 7.9 yuan/t or 0.2% to 4,581.5 yuan/t.
Angle steel grew 36.7 yuan/t or 0.9% to 4224.3 yuan/t, data showed.
