Australia's Gladstone Port has been put under maintenance shutdown from January 15-18, 2024, in a bid to conduct overhaul against ship loader, Coalmint reported.
The maintenance may result in congestion at other main ports in Australia, affecting coal exports in the whole month.
In 2023, Gladstone exported a total 63.74 million tonnes of coal, up 3% year on year, according to Gladstone Ports Corporation.
Australia delivered 360 million tonnes through the whole year of 2023, marking a year-on-year rise of 4.09%, showed cargo-tracking data from Kpler.
