Production of BHP Mitsubishi Alliance's (BMA) Saraji coal mine in the Bowen basin of Queensland in Australia has been suspended following an accident occurred on January 15 that led to one death, local media reported.
Two men were working in a fuel bay area of the open cut mine at about 12 PM on January 15 when an "interaction with two vehicles" left the worker with "crush injuries", according to Resources Safety and Health Queensland (RSHQ).
The man was pinned between mining vehicles at the location and had suffered multiple critical injuries, according to reports.
BMA's Saraji mine is one of Queensland's largest coal mines and mainly produces metallurgical coal.
