Iron ore exports to China from Australia's Port Hedland fell 8.54% from a year earlier to 37.98 million tonnes in November, according to the Pilbara Ports Authority.
It was 4.24% lower than October. The shipments to China accounted for 85% of the port's total iron ore exports in the month.
Port Hedland is one of the world's largest iron ore export ports, used by three of the world's top four iron ore miners - BHP Group, Fortescue Metals Group and Roy Hill Holdings.
In November, Port Hedland's total iron ore exports reached 44.94 million tonnes, dropping 5.56% on the year and 4.16% on the month, data showed.
Total exports over January-November of this year slid 1.18% year on year to 504 million tonnes. Shipments to China declined 2.03% to 432 million tonnes, accounting for 86% of the total.
