Eastern China's Jiangsu province consumed 67.28 TWh of electricity in September, a 12.43% rise year on year, showed data from Jiangsu Energy Regulatory Office of the National Energy Administration on October 16.
This brought the total power consumption to 585.60 TWh in the first nine months, a 4.82% increase from a year earlier.
The highest power load of this year reached up to 122.96 GW, down 3.09% on the year.
In September, Jiangsu produced 51.02 TWh of electricity, rising 9.37% year on year, adding to a total of 467.91 TWh in January-September, up 3.83% compared with last year.
As of the end of September, Jiangsu's installed power generation capacity stood at 173.31 GW. The province added 12.43 GW of power capacity during the month, including 2.78 GW of thermal power, 314.9 MW of wind, 9.15 GW of solar and 182.8 MW of stored energy.
