Eastern China's Anhui province has successfully completed its task of signing medium- and long-term coal contracts for the year 2024, with the total volume signed by coal suppliers and consumers within the province exceeding the government's requirements.
As of December 15, power coal suppliers in the province signed 50.12 million tonnes of contracts, surpassing the assigned national task by 2%.
Local coal miners within the province stepped up efforts to reach contracts with downstream users with the nation-designated supply volume.
Key mining enterprises Huaihe Energy Group Co., Ltd. achieved 105% of the assigned volume and China Coal Xinji Energy Co., Ltd. completed 100%.
Demand-side enterprises signed contracts for 95.61 million tonnes of power coal, achieving 101% of the national task, according to the local energy bureau.
The local energy bureau urged power generation companies to actively seek supplies from major production areas, especially Shanxi, Shaanxi and Inner Mongolia. As a result, a total of 51.31 million tonnes of coal contracts were signed with suppliers outside the province.
