China Shenhua Energy Co., Ltd., a listed arm of China Energy Investment Corp, saw its total polyolefin sales rise 2% or 1,100 tonnes year on year yet fell 6.6% or 3,900 tonnes on the month to 55,400 tonnes in September, said the company in a report on October 13.
The company's polyethylene sales were 27,200 tonnes, down 1.1% on the year and 11.4% month on month. Sales of polypropylene fell 1.4% year on year yet rose 5.2% month on month to 28,200 tonnes.
Total sales of polyolefin from January to September were 526,500 tonnes, up 0.1% from the preceding year, while polyethylene sales were 269,100 tonnes, up 0.2% from the year-ago level and polypropylene sales remained unchanged at 257,400 tonnes.
