Crude steel production at key member firms of China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) reached 63.66 million tonnes in November, rising 3.59% from a year ago, the CISA data showed.
Daily output of crude steel at these companies averaged 2.12 million tonnes, dipping 0.39% from October.
Their output of pig iron was 58.53 million tonnes during the month, a 4.05% rise year on year, with the daily production down 2.17% on the month to 1.95 million tonnes.
Finished steel production came in at 65.36 million tonnes, up 5.33% year on year; daily output of finished steel fell 2.45% from the previous month to 2.18 million tonnes, data showed.
From January to November, the CISA's key member steel mills produced 765 million tonnes of crude steel, 3.66% higher than the year-ago level. Daily output of crude steel in the same period averaged at 2.29 million tonnes.
Pig iron output totaled 691 million tonnes, up 4.79% compared to the same period last year, while finished steel production increased 4.93% on the year to 760 million tonnes, data showed.
