    Chinese steel prices continue to increase in early Dec, NBS

    The majority of steel products prices in China extended the upward trend in early December (December 1-10), showed the latest data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

     

    The average price of construction steel rebar (HRB 400, 20mm) at 25 major cities in China rose 0.9 yuan/t or 0.02% from ten days earlier to 3,959.7 yuan/t during this period.

     

    Prices of wire (HPB 300, 6.5mm) averaged 4,166.3 yuan/t in the same period, up 5.3 yuan/t or 0.1% from ten days ago.

     

    Prices of common medium plate (Q235, 20mm) stood at 4,031.6 yuan/t, 10.4 yuan/t or 0.3% higher than the preceding session.

     

    Hot-rolled plate (Q235, 3mm) increased 13.6 yuan/t or 0.3% to 4,041.8 yuan/t.

     

    Seamless steel tube gained 6.8 yuan/t or 0.1% to 4,573.2 yuan/t.

     

    Angle steel declined 9.4 yuan/t or 0.2% to 4,151.1 yuan/t, data showed.
