    China's top 1 coal prov mines out 1.38 Bt in 2023; advanced capacity over 80%

    Shanxi province, China's largest coal-producing region, added 57.43 million tonnes of coal production in 2023 after increasing by over 100 million tonnes for two consecutive years, sending the annual output to 1.38 billion tonnes, CCTV reported.

     

    The province has been poured continued efforts to intelligent coal mine construction, and has built 107 smart mines and 1,398 smart mining longwalls.

     

    The advanced production capacity in Shanxi accounted for over 80% of the total, ranking among the first echelon nationwide.
