Russian coal supplies to domestic market and for exports totaled 360.2 million tonnes during January-November 2023, up 1.3% or 4.6 million tonnes year on year, source reported.
Coal delivery to Russia's domestic market ticked up by 0.5% or 0.9 million tonnes from a year ago to 164.3 million tonnes in the period.
Of the amount, 82.5 million tonnes of coal sent to power plants, up 4.6% or 3.7 million tonnes on the year, while shipments to coking plants were 36.5 million tonnes, rising 9.7% or 3.2 million tonnes on a yearly basis. 45.3 million tonnes of coal was provided to other users, down 11.7% or 6.0 million tonnes from a year earlier.
Russia's coal exports reached 195.9 million tonnes in the first eleven months last year, up 1.9% or 3.7 million tonnes on the year, data showed.
Over the given period, Russia produced a total 398.9 million tonnes of coal, edging down by 0.6% or 2.3 million tonnes from the year prior.
