Huadian Inner Mongolia Energy Co., Ltd., owned by China Huadian Corporation, produced 13.26 million tonnes of coal throughout 2023, increasing 52.09% year on year.
The company's outbound coal sales reached 6.23 million tonnes in 2023, surging 64.09% from the previous year. The average price of coal sales was estimated at 402.11 yuan/t (without VAT) decreasing 58.55 yuan/t (without VAT) or 12.71% year on year.
The company noted that the increase in coal output and sales was mainly attributed to the promotion of expanding capacity, while the price decline was affected by the coal price limit policy.
In terms of power business, the company generated 60.72 TWh of electricity in 2023, edging down 0.58% from a year ago, with grid-connected power of 56.27 TWh, falling 0.61% from the previous year.
In 2023, the company's market-based power trades were 54.64 TWh, accounting for 97.11% of the on-grid electricity volume.
The average price of power sales saw a year-on-year decrease of 6.23% to 0.344 yuan/KWh (without VAT), 0.023 yuan/KWh (without VAT) lower than the previous year.
