China Coal Xinji Energy Co., Ltd produced 19.37 million tonnes of commercial coal in 2023, rising 5.16% from the preceding year, according to an announcement released by the company.
The company sold 19.69 million tonnes of commercial coal in the whole year, up 8.70% compared to the year-ago level. Of which 15.01 million tonnes of commercial coal was sold to other provinces and regions, increasing 12.00% on the year.
Additionally, the company also produced 21.39 million tonnes of raw coal, decreasing 3.76% from the previous year.
Sales revenue from its core coal business stood at 10.86 billion yuan ($1.53 billion) in 2023, 8.96% higher than a year earlier, the announcement said.
In terms of power business, the company generated 10.48 TWh of electricity in 2023, down 2.58% from a year ago, with grid-connected power of 9.89 TWh, falling 2.77% from the previous year. The on-grid average price saw a slight year-on-year increase of 0.39% to 0.4098 yuan/KWh.
The company's power business is all concentrated in Anhui province and consists entirely of thermal power generation.
In 2023, the company's total operation revenue is expected to reach 12.85 billion yuan. The accumulative profit is forecast to be 3.44 billion yuan, with 2.11 billion yuan of net profits attributable to shareholders of the listed company.
The company, jointly operated by SDIC Coal Co., Ltd, Guohua Energy Co., Ltd and Anhui Xinji Coal Power Co., Ltd, was listed on Shanghai Stock Exchange on December 19, 2007 and renamed as China Coal Xinji Energy Co., Ltd from previous SDIC Xinji Energy Co., Ltd.
