China Coal Energy Co., Ltd, the listed arm of China National Coal Group, produced 11.15 million tonnes of commercial coal in November, jumping 21.5% or 1.97 million tonnes from the preceding year, said the company in a statement released on December 15.
The November output was 0.5% or 60,000 tonnes higher than a month ago, according to the statement.
The company's commercial coal sales rose 21.7% year on year but fell 1.6% or 0.37 million tonnes month on month to 23.16 million tonnes last month.
Sales of self-produced coal increased 15.4% from a year earlier yet dropped 7.5% from the preceding month to 10.85 million tonnes in November.
Total commercial coal production reached 123.41 million tonnes in the first eleven months of 2023, up 11.8% on the year; sales stood at 261.49 million tonnes, rising 7.5% compared to the same period last year.
Self-produced commercial coal sales advanced by 9.6% to 111.52 million tonnes during the period.
