Southwestern China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region generated 17.95 TWh of electricity in October, while consumption totaled 20.65 TWh in the same month, showed data from local development and reform commission.
The generation included 3.16 TWh of hydropower, 9.35 TWh of thermal power, 2.47 TWh of nuclear power, 2.04 TWh wind and 918 GWh solar in October.
From January to October, the region's annual cumulative power generation was 185.75 GWh, of which 35.26 GWh were from hydropower, 103.78 GWh from thermal power, 20.46 GWh from nuclear power, 19.86 GWh wind, and 6.37 Gwh from photovoltaic power.
Of the total 20.65 TWh of power consumption in October, the primary industries – mainly the agricultural sector – consumed 466 GWh of electricity; the secondary industries – mainly the industrial sector (13.16 TWh) – used 13.38 TWh; and the tertiary industries – mainly the service sector – registered 3.15 TWh. Additionally, residential power use totaled 3.66 TWh.
Power consumption reached 203.98 TWh in the first ten months, with the primary industries at 4.26 TWh, the secondary industries 127.06 TWh (industrial sector 124.83 TWh), the tertiary industries 30.91 TWh, and the residential use 41.76 TWh.
