Daily crude steel production at key member firms of China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) stood at 1.97 million tonnes during November 1-10, rising 2.43% compared with the previous ten days, the CISA data showed.
Daily output of pig iron averaged 1.86 million tonnes during the same period, up 2.48% from ten days ago. Daily output of finished steel fell 5.40% from ten days ago to 1.95 million tonnes as several key member firms have conducted centralized settlement at the end of October.
Nationwide, daily output of crude steel was estimated to increase 2.01% from ten days ago to 2.67 million tonnes. The daily pig iron production is anticipated to be 2.34 million tonnes, a 2.04% rise compared to ten days earlier, and daily finished steel output at 3.83 million tonnes, up 1.02%.
As of November 10, CISA key member steel mills held 14.69 million tonnes of finished steel in stock, 6.67% or 918,300 tonnes higher than in late October but down 10.22% or 1.67 million tonnes compared with the same period in October. The volume was 12.15% or 2.03 million tonnes lower than the same period in the preceding year, data showed.
