    Anhui Dec raw coal output falls 1.7% YoY

    Eastern China's Anhui province produced 9.23 million tonnes of raw coal in December, down 1.7% year on year, according to data from the provincial statistics bureau.

     

    The province's total production throughout 2023 ticked up 0.3% from the previous year to 110 million tonnes, data showed.

     

    ln December, local power companies above designated size generated 3.20 TWh of electricity, a 9.5% increase on the year.

     

    The cumulative power generation in 2023 climbed up 5.6% from a year ago to 333.6 TWh in Anhui province.

     

    Most sources of power generation maintained year-on-year growths in December, with thermal power, wind and solar up 10.3%, 23.7% and 6.8%, respectively, while hydropower generation dropped 32.8%.
