    Chinese steel products' prices extend rise in mid-Dec, NBS

    The majority of steel products prices in China extended the upward trend in mid-December (December 11-20), showed the latest data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

     

    The average price of construction steel rebar (HRB 400, 20mm) at 25 major cities in China fell 3.6 yuan/t or 0.1% from ten days earlier to 3,956.1 yuan/t during this period.

     

    Prices of wire (HPB 300, 6.5mm) averaged 4,173.9 yuan/t in the same period, up 7.6 yuan/t or 0.2% from ten days ago.

     

    Prices of common medium plate (Q235, 20mm) stood at 4,071.0 yuan/t, 39.4 yuan/t or 1.0% higher than the preceding session.

     

    Hot-rolled plate (Q235, 3mm) increased 31.5 yuan/t or 0.8% to 4,073.3 yuan/t.

     

    Seamless steel tube increased 16.2 yuan/t or 0.4% to 4,589.4 yuan/t.

     

    Prices of angle steel reached 4,187.6 yuan/t, 36.5 yuan/t or 0.9% higher than the preceding session, data showed.
