China Shenhua Energy Co., Ltd., a listed arm of China Energy Investment Corp, saw its total polyolefin sales rise 2.8% or 1,700 tonnes year on year and climb 11% or 6,100 tonnes on the month to 61,500 tonnes in October, said the company in a report on November 14.
The company's polyethylene sales were 31,700 tonnes, up 5.3% on the year and 16.5% month on month. Sales of polypropylene ticked up by 0.3% year on year and rose 5.7% month on month to 29,800 tonnes.
Total sales of polyolefin from January to October were 588,500 tonnes, up 0.4% from the preceding year, while polyethylene sales were 300,800 tonnes, up 0.7% from the year-ago level and polypropylene sales were at 287,200 tonnes, staying flat.
