    Australian Brisbane port Jan coal exports up 33.9% YoY

    Coal exports of Brisbane port in Queensland, Australia saw both year-on-year and month-on-month increases in January 2024, according to the latest data released by the Port of Brisbane Pty Ltd (PBPL).

     

     

    The port exported 258,000 tonnes of coal in January, rising 33.94% or 65,400 tonnes on the year and surging 66.13% or 102,700 tonnes on the month.

     

    Coal exports via Brisbane port totaled 2.32 million tonnes throughout the year of 2023, up 11.80% from the year before, PBPL data showed.
