    Chinese steel products' prices extend rise in late Jan, NBS

    Chinese steel products' prices all extended the upward trend in late January (January 21-31), showed the latest data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

     

    The average price of construction steel rebar (HRB 400, 20mm) at 25 major cities in China increased 19.4 yuan/t or 0.5% from ten days earlier to 3,925.1 yuan/t during this period.

     

    Prices of wire (HPB 300, 6.5mm) averaged 4,133.4 yuan/t in the same period, up 16.8 yuan/t or 0.4% from ten days ago.

     

    Prices of common medium plate (Q235, 20mm) stood at 4,125.5 yuan/t, 41.3 yuan/t or 1.0% higher than the preceding session.

     

    Hot-rolled plate (Q235, 3mm) increased 23.9 yuan/t or 0.6% to 4,074.4 yuan/t.

     

    Seamless steel tube increased 73.4 yuan/t or 1.6% to 4,676.9 yuan/t.

     

    Prices of angle steel reached 4,178.0 yuan/t, 14.8 yuan/t or 0.4% higher than the preceding session, data showed.
