Canada's coal production continued the month-on-month increase for the second month, according to official statistics.
In September, Canada produced 3.81 million tonnes of coal, up 9.2% or 321,000 tonnes from a year ago and up 2.6% or 97,000 tonnes on the month, showed data from Statistics Canada.
During the first nine months of 2023, Canada's coal output totaled 35.89 million tonnes, rising 7.4% compared to the previous year.
