Coal production of energy giant China Huaneng Group Co., Ltd. has exceeded 100 million tonnes by December 4 this year, with annual output on course to hit a record high, the group said on its website.
The group, which is more known as a state-owned power producer, has 26 coal mines in total, with the production capacity of 118.8 million tonnes per annum, mainly located in Inner Mongolia, Gansu and Shaanxi provinces.
Since September, Huaneng has stepped up efforts to ensure supply, with an increase of 3.72 million tonnes during September-November against the same period last year, playing an important role in stabilizing domestic supply and prices, said the group.
In recent years, Huaneng has prioritized safety while optimizing production organization to ensure steady fuel supply. As of now, 11 mines have maintained incident-free production records of over 3,000 days.
