Daily crude steel production at key member firms of China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) stood at 1.97 million tonnes during November 11-20, edging down by 0.08% compared with the previous ten days, the CISA data showed.
Daily output of pig iron averaged 1.86 million tonnes during the same period, down 0.34% from ten days ago. Daily output of finished steel rose 1.86% from ten days ago to 1.99 million tonnes.
Nationwide, daily output of crude steel was estimated to decrease 0.06% from ten days ago to 2.53 million tonnes. The daily pig iron production is anticipated to be 2.22 million tonnes, a 0.29% decline compared to ten days earlier, and daily finished steel output at 3.57 million tonnes, up 1.02%.
As of November 20, CISA key member steel mills held 15.33 million tonnes of finished steel in stock, 4.36% or 640,300 tonnes higher than in early November but down 7.17% or 1.18 million tonnes compared with the same period in October. The volume was 11.39% or 1.97 million tonnes lower than the same period last year, data showed.
