Coal production of Mongolia came in at 8.07 million tonnes in October this year, surging 62.64% year on year but dipping 0.05% month on month, showed data from the National Statistical Office of Mongolia.
The country produced 63.79 million tonnes of coal in the first ten months of 2023, jumping 152.01% from the preceding year.
Mongolia's iron ore production was 1.09 million tonnes in October, up 52.73% on the year and 16.50% on the month. This included 842,500 tonnes of iron sand, up 34.95% year on year and 27.54% from September, and 247,700 tonnes of iron concentrate, soaring 176.76% from a year ago but down 9.99% month on month.
Production of iron ore in Mongolia totaled 6.67 million tonnes during the first ten months, down 21.98% year on year. Iron sand output was 4.61 million tonnes, down 34.11% year on year, and iron concentrate production increased 33.26% to 2.05 million tonnes.
