Eastern China's Anhui province churned out 9.14 million tonnes of coal in September 2023, a 1.5% fall from the year before, showed data from the local statistical bureau.
Coal output of the province totaled 84.91 million tonnes over January-September, up 0.8% from the preceding year.
Anhui generated 26.69 TWh of electricity in September, up 8.7% year on year. The accumulative power output rose 4.7% to 249.19 TWh in January-September.
In September, thermal power and hydropower generation maintained growth of 10.3% and 16.3% year on year respectively, while wind and solar power output fell by 5% and 17.9%.
