Ganqimaodu, China's largest inland road port for coal imports, imported 26.5 million tonnes of coal during the first three quarters of 2023, surging 148.01% year on year.
The port handled 27.47 million tonnes of cargo (including imports and exports) during the first nine months, jumping 139.4% on the year,according to local official data.
Imports of washed copper concentrate picked up by 11.52% year on year to 652,100 tonnes, while the border crossing exported 322,400 tonnes of goods, up 56.26%.
Ganqimaodu will be committed to infrastructure improvement and upgrading global trade channels. It aims to clear 35 million tonnes of cargo in the full year of 2023.
The daily inflows of Mongolian coal at Ganqimaodu border crossing averaged 900 trucks during October 1-12, down slightly from 937 trucks in September, but still higher than 620 trucks in October 2022.
