China imported 43.51 million tonnes of coal in November, climbing 34.64% or 11.19 million tonnes from 32.31 million tonnes a year ago, showed data from the General Administration of Customs (GAC) on December 7.
The imports volume in November was 20.88% or 7.51 million tonnes higher than 35.99 million tonnes in October, data showed.
Value of the imports totaled $4.55 billion in November, rising 4.71% year on year and 27.90% month on month. The average import price calculated at $104.48/t, down $29.87/t year on year yet up $5.74/t month on month.
China imported a total of 427.14 million tonnes of coal in January-November, surging 62.8% on the year. The imports value amounted to $47.80 billion, up 24.2% on the year, the GAC data showed.
