The first shipment of coking coal exported by China Risun Group was loaded at Rizhao Port, in Shandong province, on November 24, and will be delivered to Pt. Risun Wei Shan Indonesia.
The Pt. Risun Weishan Indonesia was invested by the group in IMIP Industrial Park of Sulawesi, Indonesia, which echoed the recall of China's B&R Initiative and built in 2021.
The coking plant project in Pt. Weishan has designed production capacity at 4.8 million tonnes per annum and produced first batch of the steel-making material on July 19, 2023.
The first delivery of coking coal from China Risun is the precious result under strategic cooperative partnership between it and Shanxi Coking Coal Group, labelled by vessel "Xin Zhong Rui 17" with full loading of 11,000 tonnes of coking coal.
It also marks a new chapter for Pt. Risun Wei Shan Indonesia to import coking coal from international coal market.
The second shipment of approximately 30,000 tonnes of coking coal has been ready at loading port and is expected to be loaded at Rizhao Port in December.
In the future, exporting coking coal from China to Indonesia will also become an important part of the global supply chain system for Indonesian coking projects.
On November 24, Pt. Risun Wei Shan Indonesia has officially received the export license issued by relative government authority, and will export first batch of coke to one of the largest steel makers in India, Tata Steel.
