• Mongolia Oct rail coal shipments up for 3rd mth; iron ore fall

    Mongolia's coal shipments through railway were registered at 1.07 million tonnes in October, down 10.89% from the preceding year but rising 13.09% from a month earlier, a three-month sequential increase, showed data from Mongolian statistical authority.

     

    Rail-carried iron ore shipments stood at 476,600 tonnes, up 34.29% on the year yet dropping 16.87% month on month, data showed.

     

     

    Mongolia's rail coal shipment totaled 10.31 million tonnes in the first ten months of this year, up 23.31% from a year ago. Iron ore shipment was 4.54 million tonnes, increasing 36.49% year on year.
