DP World Australia, one of the largest ports operators in the country, announced the restoration of operations at all its facilities on November 13 after a three-day suspension caused by a cyber incident, Reuters reported.
The breach led to disruptions in container terminals located in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and Fremantle in Western Australia, which are boasted by the company, handling approximately 40% of Australia's import and export goods.
In a statement, DP World Australia, a subsidiary of Dubai's DP World, confirmed that operations at its ports across the country resumed at 9 a.m. (22:00 GMT, Sunday) following successful tests of key systems overnight.
Although ongoing investigations and measures to protect their networks may result in temporary disruptions in the coming days, the company expected to handle around 5,000 containers at the four Australian terminals during the course of the day.
