Inner Mongolia produced 898 million tonnes of raw coal in January-September 2023, which ranked second in the country, according to a report from local news agency.
The total volume accounted for one fourth of China's aggregate figure, and the daily production stabilized above 3 million tonnes.
Power generation in the region grew by 13.6% on the year, and the growth has been sustained two-digit growth for five consecutive months.
Energy industry is still the cornerstone for economic growth in Inner Mongolia, and contributed to nearly 40% of its industrial growth.
