Mongolia exported 4.74 million tonnes of iron ore in the first ten months of this year, rising 22.37% or 0.87 million tonnes from the previous year, showed the latest data from the Mongolian Customs General Administration (MCGA).
China remained the only destination of Mongolian iron ore exports in January-October.
The total export earnings increased by 7.64% on the year to $363 million during this period, data showed.
MCGA didn't release the specific figure for last month. Sxcoal calculated the exports at 503,300 tonnes based on the overall exports published by the customs authority, down by 25.63% or 173,500 tonnes year on year and 13.33% or 77,400 tonnes on the month.
The iron ore exports amounted to $39.14 million in October, with average price at $77.76/t, up $10.5/t from the year-ago level and $13.57/t from September, data showed.
