Steel products prices in China experienced both rises and falls in mid-September (September 11-20), showed the latest data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
The average price of construction steel rebar (HRB 400, 20mm) at 25 major cities in China rose 25.2 yuan/t or 0.7% from ten days earlier to 3,729.6 yuan/t during this period.
Prices of wire (HPB 300, 6.5mm) averaged 3,923.4 yuan/t in the same period, up 22.8 yuan/t or 0.6% from ten days ago.
Prices of common medium plate (Q235, 20mm) stood at 3,996.9 yuan/t, 24.6 yuan/t or 0.6% lower than the preceding session.
Hot-rolled plate (Q235, 3mm) decreased 12.0 yuan/t or 0.3% to 3,971.5 yuan/t.
Seamless steel tube declined 9.4 yuan/t or 0.2% to 4,615.3 yuan/t.
Angle steel descended 14.6 yuan/t or 0.4% to 4,051.7 yuan/t, data showed.
