Northwestern China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region had delivered 121 million tonnes of coal via railway as of December 8 this year, rising 5.38% year on year, local media reported.
Outbound coal deliveries increased 8.4% on the year to 51.54 million tonnes during the period, data showed.
The region shipped 200.1 million tonnes of cargo via railways in the year to December 8, hitting 200 million tonnes 13 days earlier compared with 2022.
CHN Energy Xinjiang Energy Co., Ltd, a subsidiary of state-run China Energy Investment Corporation, delivered a record high of 12 million tonnes of coal outbound in the first 11 months this year, surging 134% year on year.
